Dinner Program
The senior center serves noon meals Tuesday-Friday for people age 55+ and spouse regardless of age. The cost is $5 per meal and people do need to sign up at least one day in advance by noon.

Volunteer food transporters are needed. Please contact the senior center for details.
Organized Card Games
People age 55+ are welcome to play in the regularly scheduled senior center card games.
Check the “Monthly Calendar” page on the right for game days and times.
Card tournaments are held as follows:
*500 – 2nd Wednesday at 1 p.m.
*Cribbage – Mondays at 9 a.m.
*Euchre – Fridays at 1 p.m.
Each tournament has a $2 entry fee and prize money is paid to the winners. You must sign up at least one day in advance by noon.
Senior Pickleball
People age 55+ can play Pickleball in the Monticello Community Center gym on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8-11 a.m. There is no charge for MCC members, however is a fee for non-members.
Bingo
Play bingo at the senior center on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. There is no charge and prizes are given to the game winners. Register in advance.
Book Club
If you like to read, check out the senior center Book Club. This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. The book that was read is discussed and participants pick up the new book to read.

Shuffleboard, Anyone?
People age 55+ can safely play Table Shuffleboard at the senior center. This high-quality 20′ game can provide hours of fun! Call to reserve your playing time.
Let's Play Pool!
The senior center has 2 pool tables that are available for use whenever the center is open. There is specific protocol to follow to keep everyone safe. Call a friend and then call the center so we know when you want to come and play some pool!
Come to Movie Mondays
Movies are shown at 1 p.m. on the Monticello Community Center big screen every Monday that the senior center is open. The movie may be a new release or a memorable classic. You can call the senior center on Monday mornings to find out which movie will be shown that day.
Free Legal Aid
The Senior Law Project provides free legal services for people age 60+. Issues they can help with include Social Security, family law matters, consumer problems, housing or nursing home issues, Medicare, Power of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Medical Assistance and other public benefits programs.
This service is provided at the Monticello Senior Center on the 4th Monday of each month and appointments are required.
Please note that help is not given for wills, criminal matters, real estate transactions, or estate planning.
Line Dancing Offered
Line dancing for beginners is offered at the Monticello Community Center on Tuesdays from 10:15-11:45 a.m. You do not have to sign up in advance.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per person per class time, payable to the instructor directly.
Ceramics
People age 55+ are welcome to come to the center to work on ceramics projects. The senior center owns 2 kilns, so the items are fired on site. The room is available for use on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Room capacity is limited, so people to need to register in advance. You can call Pam at the center for more information.
Computers Available
The senior center has 3 computers available for use anytime the center is open and all have access to the Internet. Call to reserve your time.
Caregiver Support Group Meets Monthly
Caring for a family member, friend, neighbor? Helping to care for a loved one from afar? If so, be sure to check out the Caregiver Support Group that meets at the senior center on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
This group provides both support and education and is intended for nonprofessional caregivers. Call the center at 763-295-2000 to reserve your spot.
Get Your Blood Pressure Checked
You can get your blood pressure checked at the senior center on the 2nd Tuesday of each month any time between 11 a.m. and noon.
This free service is provided by a nurse from St. Benedict’s Senior Community.
Call the senior center if you plan to come.
Greeting Cards for Sale
LOTS of greeting cards appropriate for LOTS of occasions are available for purchase at the senior center.
The cost is $.50 per card or 3/$1.

Borrow a Book!
Stop on over and browse thru the bookcase at the senior center. Feel free to take a couple books home with you.
Have extra books? Bring them in to share with others.
River City Ramblers Choir
The senior center choir, the River City Ramblers, is back! If you enjoy singing, come to the center on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. to join in the fun. They practice for about an hour.
