HOME Program

The senior center’s HOME Program can assist older adults with maintenance and cleaning both indoors and out.  Help is available on a sliding fee scale with housekeeping, minor repair services, painting, raking, lawn care, etc.  Staff take precautions to ensure safety. 

 

These services are available for people age 60+ in Monticello and also in a number of surrounding communities.

Caregiver Support

Are you a caregiver who would like to converse with someone who understands?  Help is available thru the senior center.

Becky is available for one on one caregiver support appointments on Thursday mornings at our center.  Please contact her to set up a time.  If Thursday mornings do not work for you, please contact Becky to explore other options.

One on One Support

Tech Help

Need Help with your smart-phone, tablet, computer, or TV system?  Want to join in on a Zoom meeting but not sure how?  Our HOME Program offers phone, in-person, and in-home support to help you have a better experience with technology. 

 

Mary, a very tech-savvy volunteer, will be at our center on Tuesday mornings to help people with technology issues. 

 

Call the center at 763-295-2000 to schedule an appointment.  If you are meeting Mary at the senior center, be sure to bring your equipment with you to your appointment. 

 

In home help is available for a small fee.

Free Legal Aid

The Senior Law Project provides free legal services for people age 60+.  Issues they can help with include Social Security, family law matters, consumer problems, housing or nursing home issues, Medicare, Power of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Medical Assistance and other public benefits programs.

 

This service is provided at the Monticello Senior Center on the 4th Monday of each month and appointments are required.

 

Please note that help is not given for wills, criminal matters, real estate transactions, or estate planning.

Trailblazer Transit

Trailblazer Transit provides rides to people of all ages for just about any reason.  This Dial-A-Ride service is available throughout Wright, Sibley, and McLeod Counties plus some neighboring cities.
